Out with the old - in with the new!

Out with the old classroom based, stiff, uninspired training plans. Darren wanted to revolutionise the industry.

The aim is to provide interactive, enjoyable experiences for each trainee. One that will be engaging and relatable. The trainee will take away real life examples that they will use in their workplace.

Our style of delivery is humorous and inviting. The trainee is sucked into the course either online or face to face. Trainers are there to guide trainees through the nitty gritty of the course content while pulling real life scenarios and experience into the content. This means trainees are far more involved and can relate more to the content.

Anyone can read a set of slides, but to bring real life experience and knowledge lifts the training to a whole new level.

Trainees are entertained while they learn. Some even loose sight of the fact that they are learning. This style makes the trainee sit up and take notice which ultimately means the course content is absorbed and can be utilised back in the workplace.

Saving peoples lives is no laughing matter but teaching someone how to do this in an amusing way ensures the facts are retained and can be relied upon later.

Our Story So Far...

Darren Whelan has a unique origin and pedigree, we are a real company managing compliance for real businesses daily. We are the online brand of Emex. In the early years, Emex, (Complete Business Solutions) was founded by Richard Wall in 1995, with the vision to digitise health and safety solutions. This was back in the days when cloud interactive and online safety compliance training hadn’t been invented. Health and safety software were managed and uploaded using disc! Over the years, things have changed a lot and Emex is now a world leader in health and safety compliance for high risk categories such as oil and gas mining and aviation. Emex deliver health and safety worldwide with representation in Russia, Great Britain, USA and Ireland. In 2000, Emex Software (Complete Business Solutions) diversified into property management and the related management of property services. Darren Whelan headed up this collaboration and saw Emex Property Management Ltd manage risk and compliance for portfolios and properties including Nama, Red Quartz and Sandyford Forum Developments. Through this venture Emex took a controlling stake in OSS (One Service Solution) which was established in 2007. This enterprise has grown and flourished and is now an independent entity flourishing with international clients including Toyota, Danone, Jamie Oliver Restaurants and Perrigo. Emex & OSS have grown and continue to innovate in customer service, training and cutting-edge technology.
